Swollen Gums Signal Poor Periodontal Health
Dental studies emerged stating that tooth loss on the account of gum disease or cavities during the period of adulthood might be a sign of higher risk of death due to health conditions pertaining to the heart disease in the latter life. Reports have been brought up that previous dental studies state that heart disease can be linked to periodontal health and the cause-and-effect relationship of gum disease and heart disease is found and proven to be existent. Poor periodontal health is generally signaled by swollen gums, bleeding gums, sensitive teeth, bad breath and tooth loss. Ways to combat these dental problems and gain good oral health is simply by observing proper oral hygiene habits.
